Chief Scott Barlow, Chief of the Town of Culpeper Police Department in Culpeper, Virgionia, and former Sergeant Matt Borders face a lawsuit in U.S. District Court filed on behalf of plaintiffs Nathan Newhard and Jessie M. Casella. As reported by Nate Delesline, III of the Culpeper Star-Exponent, it is alleged that after Mr. Newhard was arrested for DUI and other offenses in Culpeper, Virginia, former Sgt. Matt Borders examined Mr. Newhard's phone and discovered and examined nude pictures of Ms. Casella, Mr. Newhard's girlfriend. He is also reported to have shared them with other officers there at the police station, and to have used his police radio to tell others about it and invite them to take a peek. Former Sgt. Matt Borders is reported to have resigned from the Town of Culpeper Police Department in December. I wonder if another department will hire him and put him back on the street.
