A group converging on Craigslist calls themselves "DUI Busters". Their goal is to eliminate drunk drivers from the Milwaukee roads; their methods include hanging out in bars and trailing persons they believe to be intoxicated and reporting them to police. The Craigslist posts from the DUI Busters report members lying to police in their anonymous tips so to have police investigate. While some do not have a problem with these methods, others raise the important question-why not stop them before they get into the car to avoid any possible injury to innocent drivers? The MADD organization agrees with the Sheriff's department that the methods of the DUI Busters are dangerous. MADD also says making up stories to have drivers arrested for DUI "helps no one". FOX 6 Anchor Brad Hicks requested an interview with members of the DUI Busters, but his requests were declined. "This raises the question if they're really out there DUI Busting, or spending evenings in front of their computer not at the bars" . . . hence the unreliability of anonymous tipsters.
