
Officer Shawn Parra is the third officer from the Toledo Police Department to be disciplined for drinking and driving charges in three months. Parra is accused of hitting a pole Thanksgiving morning and leaving the scene. Officers found Parra's vehicle and subsequently arrested the officer on DUI charges. Fellow officers James Breier and Donald Mitchell were arrested on DUI in September and October, respectively, while on duty.
The chief of the Toledo Police Department "hopes ransom drug testing that has recently been enacted will curb any problems."
