Client of Manassas, VA Lawyer Acquitted in Home Invasion - Part 2 of 2

Police had suspected our client of being involved in other crimes, but were unable to prove it.  When police were getting the confessions from the co-defendants, they let it be known that they really wanted information which could be used to prosecute our client, and it was after being told police wanted information about our client that the co-defendant included our client's name among those involved in this offense.  Also problematic was the fact that the people residing in the house testified there were 4 intruders, and a 5th person stayed outside with the vehicle, but based on the co-defendant confessions police had arrested 6 people and were claiming 5 went in the house.  Police chose not to send gloves and masks they found to the lab for DNA analysis, and said they chose not to do so because they had confessions from co-defendants implicating our client and didn't think it was necessary.  Lastly, our client had an alibi that he was at a school function at the time of the home invasion.

Throughout many months of working together, even when faced with confessions from co-defendants implicating him and what I think most would fairly characterize as a situation in which the likelihood of success was extremely slim, our client never waivered regarding his innocence.  His resolve and confidence were inspring, and after a complicated trial the jury cleared his name and set him free by returning a not guilty verdict.
