Virginia Driver Arrested for DUI and Fleeing the Scene of a Crash

On Monday, October 18, 2010, a Woodbridge car crash occurred in which the driver fled the scene. When police arrived at the crash site at the 15300 block of Michigan Road, they found that the driver had left his car at the scene and went to investigate.

Around 10:36 a.m. Monday morning, police located the driver at his home at 15304 Michigan Road, Woodbridge. Virginia police detained William Warren Pederson, and then conducted a search of his home. They found the recreational drug PCP in his home. After their search of the property, they arrested the driver on three counts including possession of a schedule I/II narcotic, driving under the influence (DUI) and resisting arrest.

Jonathan Perok, Prince William police spokesman, said Pederson is being held on a $4,500 secured bond. At the time of this article, there was no court date available for Pederson's arraignment.
