Virginia DUI Attorney, Patrick C. Cummings, was born and raised in upstate New York, where he later graduated from Canisius College in Buffalo, New York.  Mr. Cummings, a Dean's List student, graduated from Syracuse College of Law in 1994, in Syracuse, New York.
Following law school graduation, Mr. Cummings married his college sweetheart, Jennifer, at the time a recent Army ROTC graduate.  Like many military families, Mr. and Mrs. Cummings frequently moved - New Jersey, Belgium, Tennessee, Maryland, Virginia and Alaska.  Consequently, Mr. Cummings took and passed bar exams on the first try in three different states - New Jersey (1994), Maryland (1995), and Virginia (2004).  Mrs. Cummings is now stationed in Arlington, Virginia as she nears her twenty years of active duty service with the Army.
Even while in law school, Mr. Cummings began honing his litigation skills by clerking with Saperston & Day, P.C.  After graduation, he continued with his passion for litigation as a litigation defense attorney with Wolff, Helies & Duggan, P.C. in New Jersey.  Mr. Cummings also developed a keen interest in protecting and championing causes for the underdog.  While in Tennessee, he crusaded on behalf of military families as a Fort Campbell Consumer Affairs advisor.
Beginning in 2004, Mr. Cummings joined Lytle Law, P.C. in Newport News, Virginia, where he made his mark in Virginia DUI defense, exponentially growing his client base through his known expertise and reputation.  By joining the National College of DUI Defense (NCDD), Mr. Cummings devoted himself to maximize his expertise in the field by frequently participating in out of state workshops and training specializing in National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) Standardized Field Sobriety Tests (SFST's), breath alcohol forensic analysis, and the Intoxilyzer 5000.   Mr. Cummings routinely represented clients in Hampton, Newport News, York, Williamsburg, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, and Norfolk.  That said, clients from across many other parts of the state also sought Patrick's expertise.              
Mr. Cummings has enjoyed success in both General District Court and Circuit Court cases, securing many "not guilty" verdicts in DUI and Refusal cases.  Currently, Mr. Cummings is an essential part of The Wilson Law Firm in northern Virginia.  He is a member in good standing with the Virginia bar, never having a single client complaint filed against him.   Mr. Cummings is also a member of the Criminal Law Section of the Virginia State Bar.
