On July 29, 2011, an accident occurred on Interstate 95 in Woodbridge, Virginia that involved three tractor-trailers. Needless to say, traffic was a mess and caused drivers who were headed southbound on I-95 long delays.

According to the report Virginia State Police made to 9 News Now, they indicated that the wreck occurred prior to 4 a.m. Friday morning in the southbound lanes of I-95 before Route 1. Allegedly a tractor-trailer and a box truck slowed down when another semi truck that was approaching them from behind rear-ended the tractor-trailer and then launched into the box truck.

The driver of the box truck was injured and was transported to an area hospital for medical care. The driver of the tractor-trailer that was hit was uninjured, and the driver of the semi truck that caused the accident was injured with non-life-threatening injuries. He was also transported to an area hospital for medical treatment.

The driver of the striking semi was charged with reckless driving in Virginia.
