Fairfax County has most DUI Deaths in Virginia

In a recent study, the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles discovered that Fairfax County has averaged the most DUI related fatal accidents during the 2006 to 2010 period.  Fairfax County is said to average 19 DUI related deaths each year.  In an effort to improve this number, the Fairfax County Police Department is participating in the Checkpoint Strikeforce campaign.  Checkpoint Strikeforce is run by the non-profit organization Washington Regional Alcohol Program (WRAP) and has received a grant from the DMV: Virginia Highway Safety Office.
