Attorney Christian R. Fernandez was born and raised in New Jersey, where he graduated from Rutgers University. He earned a Juris Doctorate from American University, Washington College of Law in Washington, DC.
Shortly after graduating law school, Mr. Fernandez built a successful law firm in Arlington, Virginia, focusing on the transactional side of the law. He represented clients in the fields of business law and estate planning, with a small portion of the practice dedicated to litigation. Eventually, Mr. Fernandez left his firm to practice litigation exclusively.
Prior to joining The Wilson Law Firm, Mr. Fernandez spent several years working for small firms in Northern Virginia focusing on criminal defense. In this capacity, Mr. Fernandez has represented clients throughout Virginia, in the District of Columbia, and before local federal courts. Mr. Fernandez has handled numerous criminal cases ranging from simple traffic infractions to felonies. He has also successfully defended individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities who have become caught up in the criminal justice system.
Mr. Fernandez is passionate about defending the rights of the accused and understands that facing criminal charges is stressful. He believes that building an honest and transparent relationship with clients is paramount to alleviating that stress and achieving better outcomes.
Mr. Fernandez is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia and the District of Columbia, as well as before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
