Virginia State Police report that speed and alcohol were non factors in the Nottoway County crash that killed one teenager and left five others injured. Joseph Dorazio, III, the 18-year-old driver, was cited with reckless driving after he ran his 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer off the left side of the road, overcorrected and overturning multiple times on the right side of the road. Dorazio was not wearing his seat belt; police are unsure if any of the passengers were wearing their seat belts. One of the passengers, 17-year-old Avery Spence of Midlothian, was ejected from the SUV. Spence dies later at Southside Community Hospital in Farmville.
