Brenna Fisher comes to us as a 2018 graduate from The Pennsylvania State University with a double major in Criminology and Sociology, as well as a minor in Military Science. Prior to arriving at the Wilson Law Firm, she worked for two years as a legal assistant in State College, PA for a small criminal defense firm. As a part of her experience in Pennsylvania, she worked closely with clients, court officials, and law enforcement. In addition to attending and contributing to attorney client meetings, Brenna wrote legal blogs, assisted clients with the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program, handled filings at the Centre County Prothonotary’s office, and completed expungements for clients. She enjoyed working with clients directly, and, through her time as a legal assistant, found this was a unique and enjoyable aspect of Criminal Defense Law.
In addition to her experience in Centre County, she also worked as a summer clerk for the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office in Chicago, IL. As a Summer Clerk, Brenna handled the prosecution’s criminal data entry, obtained discovery, coordinated with local defense attorneys, and attended criminal court four days a week as an assistant to a team of three prosecuting attorneys. She also worked for the State College Police Department as an intern, where she shadowed police officers and came to understand the daily operations and legal proceedings within a police unit.
Brenna is preparing to attend Law School in the fall of 2018 at the University of Wyoming. In addition to her legal studies, she is also a Second Lieutenant in the Army Reserves as an Adjutant General. After pursuing her J.D., Brenna hopes to practice Criminal Law in the Denver area. In her free time, Brenna enjoys hiking, traveling, and reading.
